Q. Do I keep all the rights to my music?
A. Yes.
Q. What Kind of files can I upload for an estimate?
A. Although we prefer .MP3s, you can also upload .AIFF & .WAV files for an estimate.
Q. Why can I only upload one file? My song has multiple files that I want mixed.
A. To start, we ask that you upload just an .MP3 mixdown of your song. This will give us an idea of your project and allow us to contact you with a quote for the mixing process. Once you decide to move ahead with the mix, you will be given a client FTP username and password to upload all of the files in your song.
Q. Can I mail my files instead of uploading them?
A. Yes. Although we recommend uploading an .MP3 for a fast quote, uploading large session files for mixing can become problematic. You can always opt to send a DVD or hard drive instead.
Q. I use Logic. Can you still mix my songs?
A. Yes. We have Logic Pro as well as Pro Tools HD4. Provided we have all of the same modules and plugins as you, we can extract your files from the session for mixing. The other option is for you to select File > Export > Bounce All Tracks as Audio Files and then choose '.wav'. We will import the .wav files into a Pro Tools session for mixing.
Q. I use a stand alone recorder. How do I get you the tracks for mixing?
A. The exact steps differ from model to model, but give us a call and we'll be happy to walk you through. Use a Roland VS 1680 or 2000? Instructions here.
